I'm going to say this right away before I get flamed.....

There are currently no plans to make a Zelda movie, yet. But IGN decided to play a joke on us this April 1st and create a trailer for a hoax Zelda movie. The response was interesting. They knew it was fake, but the fans saw potential in this.

So this is the question that this movie presents. Should they make a Legend of Zelda movie?

Yeah, it would be hard to make this movie good. It would require a lot of talent, and the effort that Lord of the Rings got.

You mean MANY LIBERTIES taken with the damn series?

The one thing that annoyed the hell out of me was ELVES at the Hornburg and the Minas Tirith battle being so fucked up.

Don't get me started on the bullshit medling of Arwen... The bullshit story Elrond gives..

Lord of the Rings treatment will take too many liberties.

A prerequisite should be people who actually played most all of the Nintendo system Zelda games, and try not to muk it up by having a movie that is a mix of all the games.

Well, I more so meant the landscapes. Hyrule is a place of many flavours and I am afraid that studio made Hyrule fields just wont do...

Also! Unlike Lord of the Rings, LoZ is a video game. So for once, someone should try actually following the story of the video game and not something made up. (I'm looking at you Resident Evil). Ocarina of Time would be good because it always has the cheesy love interest scenes in it! No filler love interest scenes required, muahaha.
