Total Recall 2070 was definetly a good series. I also enjoy the 1990 movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger!!

Indeed. So sad that they produced only one season. ;(

I agree!! In addition, the Sci Fi (Total Recall 2070) series was very underrated :!:

Phantom menace isn't widely appreciated by hardcore fans but for me it's maybe the best one. That's because I saw it first and I was so young that those light saber duels were just awesome. Duels in original trilogy are much more simplier and not so effective.

That's because Mark Hamill didn't know squat about swordsmanship. If you watch the original trilogy, he looks like he'd just as well be swinging a baseball bat. In this day and age, directors know people can see thru that kind of crap and usually opt to have their actors learn a few things about the technique they're supposed to be acting out.

Remember the Matrix? They all had to take martial arts lessons.

In terms of the new trilogy,Phantom Menace is a hell of alot better then the last two new trilogys in terms of the acting department is concern.

the only horrible actor in the lastof the new trilogies was haden. He can't act period. However in Clones his crybaby whining attitude was perfect for the part because he was a whiney teenager.

Haden?

Sorry, every time I hear about star wars, I find myself caring less and less... which is surprising because I was sure I already didn't give a damn.

I agree. In the end, Hayden Christiansen is the Cancer of the new Trilogy along with Jar Jar Binks!!

I didn't liked when they brought Jar Jar Binks along. There was already enough comedy. Jar Jar Binks just goes too much OVER.

Well said and on top of that, Jar Jar Binks was never funny, he/she was annoying as hell

A bit of an old topic...

Postby Wing-0 » Sat Jun 06, 2009 11:01 pm

Well... In my case it's like this:

Battlestar Galactica (new one) > Star Wars

I was never very familiar with Star Trek except the first two seasons of TNG...

However, Galactica totally ruled for me. The focus on human drama, the sense of being lost and overpowered totally won me over... Plus, the Galactica gets in worse shape as the story goes... For me, a show that contains social commentary, machines and drama is cool...

Out of the topic, but what the hell, other shows I have enjoyed are:

Super Dimensional Fortress Macross (the original, not that shit Robotech ended up becoming)
Macross Plus
Macross Frontier (Alto Saotome, even while a pretty boy won me as a fan... He grew a bit wiser.)
Gundam Wing
Gundam Seed (the political aspects, not all of the series)
Gundam 00
and Metal Gear (not TV, but since it's a story with ALL those things I like, I count it here)

Oh, I can't forget about Zone of the Enders... The first game was about the loss of innocence in a kid and the second about independence.
