Tales of Phantasia takes place after Tales of Symphonia. The ending of Symphonia makes it blatant, though you'll only catch it if you've played Tales of Phantasia first. Said ending is rather anti-climatic given the events in Tales of Phantasia, though still an awesome ending with some of the best musical composition Motoi Sakuraba's ever done, giving it an epic feel.<p>Tales of Eternia and the Tales of Destiny games have nothing to do with the above two games, no more so than each Final Fantasy game does with each other (exception to FFX-2).
