Slashdot summary wrote:Barrista En Flambe alerts us to a stunt that may reflect the desperate funding crisis in British astronomy: astronomers have agreed to beam a 30-second Doritos ad to a solar system 42 light years from Earth. The transmission is being directed at the solar system of 47 Ursae Majoris, a star similar to the Sun which has planets and may have a habitable zone.

Talk about desperate. Now aliens will know of our Doritos! In about 100 years we could receive an order from one.

0.0 Very interesting...
If they found another place that we could live on well then...
Won't it be PSO all over again?

x3

Doritos aren't that good anymore they lost their cheezy taste ever since they started mixing it with ranch other flavors that make my stomach churn the wrong way.

I don't even bother getting them, I just eat the normal ones that have always been out. Though they too have been corrupted with tinkering.

Yeah, most of those new doritos flavors aren't that good. I usally just go for the original cheezy ones and the ketchup flavored ones. It's strange that I only like doritos ketchup flavored chips, the other ones like lays, I don't.

Heh, doritos ads in space. This will only provoke other companies to do the same thing. The sky will be filled with tons of coca-cola and pepsi ads at night. This kind of remains me of that futurama espisode where ads are in dreams.
