I looked up this problem of yours using Google, and from I've discovered about the XBox version, it seems you must have an XBox Live account in order to access the game offline. <p>You're better off trading the XBox version for the GC if you want to play it offline with no trouble. (Providing you've got a Gamecube, that is.)
