Ok, the easy one first: On this very site it says that to get a Ribhava MAG, you evolve it using a "type A" Force user. What section IDs come under type A?
Secondly: I've activated the three pillars in the first three levels of Episode 1, but for some reason the Ruins aren't accessible. I've spoken to the Principal guy and all the scienctist people, even his damn secretary. Is there something I'm doing wrong or has the game just messed up?
Notably, when I first got to the door of the Ruins only the green icon was lit, even though I'd got all three long ago. I even went back to each of the pillars and there they were, all glowing and stuff. Anyway, help me! :)

If you go to the "Section ID" page of this site, it says which type you'll get. On my computer you have to highlight it to see the letter though. It's just to the right of the box that says "mag"

Thanks for that. You have to highlight it on mine as well.
Now can anyone help me with the second question?

Yeah me too... I've played PSO through countless times, back in the Dreamcast days... this never happened once.
But I've checked and re-checked each pillar and they are all indeed flashing and humming like nice, activated, evil pillars.
I may have to recreate this character again... !@#$

You have to have all of them touched and then defeat Vol Opt.
Once you defeat Vol Opt, and teleport to the ruins.. When you go into the black area, it says "RUINS 1" teleport there by hitting the button.
Forest, caves and mines pillars lit right?

Ah, here's the thing; At the time of killing Vol Opt I had Forest and Caves pillars lit. Then I immediately returned to the Mines and lit the third and final pillar.
So you're saying that I have to beat that sloowww boring boss again? !@#$
EDIT: I should point out that I remember on the DC that you could light the pillars whenever and return to the door of the Ruins whenever, but you could only pass through when all pillars are lit. I don't remember having to defeat Vol Opt to get to the door apart from the first time, of course. Then again it was about 4-5 years ago and my memory has a habit of playing funny tricks on me. ¬_¬

[Edit by Zubon on [TIME]1113528002[/TIME]]

Yes, you will have to defeat Vol Opt again.
The DC was the worse. When you beat Vol Opt, you had to start a new game and go back to each pillar, light up and then beat Opt.
On the GC, you can light the pillars on each stage, then fight VOl Opt and go to the ruins.
If you don't have all 3 lit before Opt, you must beat Opt with all 3 lit.

I missed the forest pillar with one of my characters, but I went back and got it after beating Vol Opt (without starting a new game).
After I activated it, I could walk right through to the ruins.
(GC PSO1&2plus version)
[Edit by Aholibamah on [TIME]1113572522[/TIME]]

Oh come on, Vol Opt is easy. I smack him around hard and he's obliterated in a couple of minutes.

He is easy, he just takes ages for me to kill. The first stage is basically impossible to die on, and I can do the second stage without being hit once. It just takes aaaages... I don't know if this is good or bad, but I was only about level 14 (A HUcaseal.)
Oh, on a side not, since this isn't really worth opening a new thread for, how come the manual says that HUcaseal's have good ATA when they only go up +1 ATA every 2 or three levels? %)

First stage:
Go and hit the roof object and let it fall, incase you will be shocked, the shockers (the side objects in a circle that stun you) will be stunned also.
When Vol Opt pops up on a screen keep attacking, just attack.
When the shockers pop up, attack the red one and repeatedly attack it until it breaks (once they break they won't ever be there unless you quit).
Then Vol's head will appear on the screen again and repeat.
After you destroy all the mirrors then the whole place will blow, also if you destroyed all the screens and he was still alive, then destroy all the shockers (happened to me once).
Hint: if you are an organic (non-robot/android) then heal.
Tip: Have a lot of resist shocks equipped on your armor, this will make you get a lot less shocked by the Shockers
Second stage:
Keep attacking, if he uses the charge beam then run in a direction and keep running until the trash stops falling behind you.
When he is trapping you with the green orb, don't run, it never works.
WHen he fires his missles, just stay and attack.
Hints are the same as before.

Thanks and everything, but I said I didn't have a problem doing it, just that it bored me. :)
That's pretty much my technique actually, though I always run from the little missiles. When the laser beam is on me I keep on pounding him until the red glow appears on his arm module, then I run just at the last second. #)
Anyway, I did this now so it's all over. I'm now busy getting taken apart in the ruins... >.<

Ok, I have a Force character, here is what you do: Take Lots of fluids, and get Rafoie and Razonde. Use those and the enemies will be cake.
