I've decided to replay all the Phantasy Star games. I just finished PS1 on the Switch (My SMS is in storage), and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was still a charming game.

I've got PS2 lined up on Sega Genesis Classics on the Switch next, but I was wondering if PS Gen 1 was worth trolling eBay for a copy? I see the graphics have been updated, and some aspects of the story were definitely changed. Worth playing before PS2, or just a curiosity? What do you think?

Can anybody tell me what PS Gen 1 is like? Have you played it?

HI. Sorry I took so long to reply.

Generation 1 is ok, but a bit linear for my taste. It has a fun talk feature that adds quite a lot of personality to the characters and its still loads of fun to visist all the places you know and loved from the original. And that guy selling Diamond Armour is still a rip off. No I am not letting that go.

It is definitely worth playing and you can download the rom from this website.
