One day left to go before we learn what the Android/iOS RPG with Myau on the graphic is.

Sega did their survey of IP a year or so back, and no doubt had some positive responses about a single player Phantasy Star experience. While this project could go any which way, it just may be a continuation of the original universe, and if I can count my lucky stars, could involve Rieko Kodama and Toru Yoshida since they're at the company still.

At best, I'm hopeful for a swan song return to the series on the part of these two before they pack it in. At worst, I'm hoping for a pile of shit with a stick in it so long as Sega doesn't let Tony Taka touch any of the character designs.

the Phantasy Star discord is awaiting what it could be. There has been a slight buzz, but the Phantasy Star fans know how badly Sega has burned us in the past, so we're just waiting with no real expectations.

So this is what we found out so far. doesn't look bad, follows the story of Dark Force from the original series. might not be bad depending on what type of gaming model they go after.

I suppose, but those character designs make me want to throw up. Ugh - I thought that the over-designed look was something that would come and go with Legend of Mana, but I'm convinced now that Japanese young people must love this stuff. UUUGH!!

I don't mind the design at all. It's not the best but it's not sickening either. We'll have to see what becomes of this.

I'm not thrilled, especially because it's a smartphone game, but we'll see.
