Rebooting Phantasy Star

By rebooting the original PS (alongside the Online and Universe/Portable series to some extent), what ideas would you have in mind to give the many characters new life into them, an attempt to make them much more likeable in comparison to their source material counterpart. As for the world where the reboot takes place, a reimagined version of Algo or Gurhal?

With creative freedom, I'm interested to know how you would reboot the series. Some of the likeable traits of characters can be kept, such as Shir's stealing tendencies, as well as fix any problems with characters throughout the series. (The ambiguity to the characters of Phantasy Star 3)

One idea I had in mind (and probably one that just maybe wouldn't be welcome) is a reimagining of Chaz's story. He would become Rune's protégé and soon-to-be successor as he was found by the latter instead of Alys. Despite the difference, Chaz would become somewhat more interesting as a character because of inheriting Rune's arrogance as well as having esper abilities to boot, providing a plausible explanation to how he earned his "Skills" in the source material. (Airslash, Explosion)

All for Phantasy Star 1

I would just want to expand each planet with more towns to visit and a few extra side quests. Dezoris needed a lot more to see in my view. A few more encounters with Motavians and Dezorians would help flesh them out a bit more too.

Maybe a Nero pre game so you get a bit of his back story.

Nice ideas, Phantasy star 1 is my favorite JPRG of all time, I would like to see generations 1 without the minimap and wall hit sample 2.20 beta (ideally) remade in VR unity. Plus Hordes of Nei changes in generations 1.

I would like to see more details on backstories for each character and perhapes an after years or new game+ for fans.

I was going through fan games for any potential material and found this exceptional project with backstories of each character playabout in java with SMS style
I would like to highlight to suggest support for continuing and using this as a basis for a Generations 1 combo in unity VR.

This is a remake of the original Phantasy Star game, launched on Sega Master System on 1986.

I've worked on this project on my own, but some resources, like VGM music and monster animations, were ripped by
other people, and I give them proper credit on the in-game credits.

- Landrover gets through lava, not Hovercraft
- Ice Digger gets some resistance when breaking ice
- Screen and scenes adjustments to 320x240 resolution (versus original 256x192)
- Removed the 'Search' menu option (replaced by command button).
- A new "secret" city, with a quest and a new labyrinth
- PS Arena mode.
- Start as Odin/Tylon mode.
