For me, it was Maia, then Sari. I was kind of confused at the idea of not marrying Maia after finding her was the whole point of the first generation.

I then went with Sari because a) Ayn and Thea are cousins, and that seemed weird even to me as a little kid, and b) Sari is a badass (unlike her very weak mother - who was her dad, Re-Faze?)

I thus ended up with is probably the hardest third generation (not quite as long as Sean's, but Crys lacks healing techniques, as does Warrior Kara. The difficulty level is relative, though, because none of them are actually hard).

The first time I played through PS3, I married Maia, because it thought it fitted in better with the game story. Then I married Sari, because I heard their child was the strongest third generation hero.

A friend played it before I did.

He Showed me Ayn and Nial. He didnt know what to do with Ayn so he played Nial and won through. We both thought Laya looked silly with the ruby in her brow. So he chose Alair.

When I first played it I chose Nial and Alair too as I liked Aron. He looks the best.

Another one here who married Maia and then Sari. Maia for the same reasons. Sari because... I think I wanted to try a different path than the popular one (Sean is an orphan just like the other Phantasy Star heroes), and Sari is a beast.

My first time was Maia > Thea.
In the second run, I think I chose Lena > Alair but I'm not sure.

My first play through was Maia then Sari, so Crys was my first third-Gen hero.
