Rudo vs. Darum

hmmm. well Rudo does use nothing but guns. and has battle experience from the military as well as hunter.<p>and Darum seems to be holding a sword in the original game. well his experience is unknown but he's bound to be powerful to be blocking anyone and everyone from crossing the bridge. <p>hmmmm. well if Darum get's up close he may have the advantage but if Rudo keeps his distance then it's no sweat maybe. <p>

Rudo could have shot him. If he didn´t respect human life, he would have shot Darum right away.

This is one of those intracacies about PSII that drove me nuts. I KNOW that Rolf, Rudo, and Nei could have taken out that insulent rogue together. Anyway...<p>Rudo vs Darum alone, I don't know. Darum seemed to be holding that bridge for quite some time by himself, so he had to have been not only brute enough to steal from innocent passers-by, but also have the battle savvy to defeat anything the govt might have sent after him, both human and robot forces alike.<p>Now as for Rudo - starting level aside, we know that he is an experienced fighter and that he's one tough cookie. His weapon is the gun, so unless Darum can successfully convert the battle into a close-quarters combat situation, Rudo will win. Unless of course Darum has Sonic Guns, and then it's a matter of who shoots first and hits the target.<p>All things considered, I think that Darum would ultimately win.

One flaw there, I doubt the government ever sent anybody previous to Eusis/Rolf because, well, Mother Brain wouldn't want anyone to get to the Biosystems Lab. <p>In PSG2, Darum appears to be quite the big bastitch. Besides, I'm sure there's a code of ethics wherein Eusis and Co. wouldn't want to kill a man without trying to find another way.<p>-Corey

From the dialogue, I assumed he didn't want to approach the man for fear of the man trying to kill Nei, as he had tried before.

don't forget techniques. it's possible Darum knows Foi and stuff. so range might not be a problem. <p>and the government would send robots to take out Darum but it seems he's very strong to defeat anything that was sent. <p>The robots are controlled by Mother Brain for the most part.

Darum DOES know at lwat one level of foi (that was how he commited suicide)<p>Even so, Rudo is one tough cookie.

Rudo would own Darum if for no other reason than that Rudo is a beast when it comes to HP. At level 1 he has 56 (I think) and by the time you acually go to the bridge with Teim he is Level 6 (for me) so he has 80+ HP and a Shotgun. Rudo at that point would simply hang back and shoot at Darum. Foi wouldn't be enough to kill Rudo, and there is little thought that Rudo would fight alone. Nei and Rolf would most likely combine to devistate up close and personal while Rudo shoots Darum.

yeah since Darum's experience and HP and equiment is a mystery, he could be quite formidable for even Rolf, Nei and Rudo combined. <p>and remember Rudo is the slowest of them all so I think Darum could get close easy. and since Darum is definitely older than Rudo, and he bears the signs of that of a experienced hunter, Darum may be more than meets the eye. <p>

Or maybe Kain could hack the game and set Darum to LV. 1 and 1 HP...lol.<p>Seriously, if one Foi is enough to kill him, he obviously didn't have THAT much HP. A Nafoi does around 180 HP, but a Lv. 8 Rudo, Lv. 9 Rolf and Lv 13 Nei could take that, especially if they were well equipped with the best weapons accessible at that point (Rika having Steel Bars and Rolf+Rudo with 2 Ceram. Knives each, and the best armor possible) and had some Dimates.
