Beating Medusa as soon as you get Noah

Anyone ever do this? If you are overleveled enough, it's theoretically possible. It'd be very helpful to go ahead and get the Heat Gun and Silver Fang first. Noah would definitely have to know Wind.

I know it is possible to beat Medusa without the Mirror Shield, as I did it in my last playthrough.

I have beaten Medusa without Mirror Shield.
Just use Alis' "Rope" -magic to temporarily paralyze medusa and then beat her up. :)

Yeah, so have I, but much later in the game. I'm talking about right after getting Noah and going back to Palma, like, before even talking to Dr. Luveno. It's theoretically possible.

If you succeed, please report. :)

Perhaps I'll try in my next playthrough.

The defensive equipment is really irrelevant, since it's a one hit KO anyway.

Medusa has 200 HP.

ALIS-Rope
MYAU-HELP, then attack
ODIN-Attack (5 or 10 damage, depending if you went ahead to get the HEAT GUN)
NOAH-WIND (~30 damage)

Noah would be doing the vast majority of the damage. Call it an average of 40 damage per turn (with everyone alive)...you'd need probably six turns. It'd take a lot of tries, and you'd need to be really overleveled, plus you'd need to make it to the top of the tower with minimal damage...but possible? I say yes.

I'd say Noah would need to be level 21 at an absolute minimum (he has 72 MP at level 21, enabling him to cast WIND six times). That would mean the others would have a significantly higher level, more than likely.
