...has a nickname?

Well, I was reading the Valkyria Chronicles Wikia. A very respectable effort so far. However, something caught my eye. This article: http://valkyria.wikia.com/wiki/Aliasse

The final line in the trivia/notes was written by some user saying [copypasta] "Aliasse nickname is Ali which is also the nickname of Alis Landale the Protagonist of Phantasy Star."[/copypasta]

What? Alis had a nickname? Since when?

So our hero is also names as Ali... O.O

Sounds strange. Mohammad Ali... Ewwww....

I have never heard of this before.

@Zucca: It's not the same as Muhammad Ali. In the legendary boxer's case, since it's a Muslim name, it is Alí, with the little thing over the I (tilde I think it is called) denoting a stronger sound. In Aliasse's nickname it's Áli. With the strong sound on the A. Her name follows the same pronunciation.

Her full name in the English version sounds like "Áli-ass"... Which when written makes the immature child in me laugh... =P

That said, I find that little tidbit very dubious. Kinda cute, but dubious nonetheless.

Maybe it's a badly worded way of saying that her name was inspired by Alis of Phantasy Star. =P

Even worse, because it includes speculation, since nowhere are sources provided.
