A very nice Phantasy Star tribute video

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine asked me to choose a rock song that I would associate to some special game I had played in the past. He asked the same to a few other brazilian bloggers, and the resulting video is here:

However, the video he created for Phantasy Star — guess who suggested this one? — was simply breathtaking. So, he created a separate video, and this is the result:

He credited me, but I only suggested the Van Halen song and a few sequences. He did all the editing work, and I would love to hear your opinions on this.

It's really, really loud. Like, I turn the volume on the video player down all the way and it's still loud. ;p

As for the rest, it's a neat little video. Personally, I loathe the Hagar era of Van Halen. The direction the band took as a whole, combined with my general disinterest in Sammy as a vocalist just made me tune out. "Poundcake" is perhaps the one song I liked from their catalogue. Though honestly I can't think of a Roth era song that would work so...

Overall, good idea with decent execution. Just don't like the choice of music (but that's not anything you could be faulted for ;p).
