PSO and PSII connections...

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I put it here.
Does the combat grid of PSOEp3 remind anybody else of the grid backround for the battles of PSII?

It's not creepy.
It's a sign.
...
Actually, PSOEp3 is much more like PSII than PSOEp1&2 was. Turn based fighting? Multiple characters that can be controlled by one player?
(I can do that in Ep1&2 as well though! Just set a Wavebird to one frequency, and two detectors to the same frequency, and voila! Two characters on one controller.)
(Actually, I've yet to try that. I still need another Wavebird.)

No.
It's a road sign or something.
You people!
I think it means "Slow down, Aerotank up ahead. Mystcapes have right of way. Beware of the Dark Force."
Random streams of thought rule.

Perhaps that's why those of us who are veterans of the old series actually like Ep.III...
Well, most of us do.
Wat is creepy is that "Star, Dice..." voice. All that gride needs to be is blue.
~insert Bananza tune here~Wat you don't like Bonanza?*
* A UHF referance...

Hm...interesting point. Perhaps they had a Field Lock (the grid, which is put in place so that those outside the battle are not harmed) in Rolf's era too.

nah PSO3 was horrible with all the card battling.
I would like a proper online Phantasy Star II (same PSII artstyle, clothes, races/species, Algo solar system planets, fully explorable like FF11 or Morrowind, you can still create your own character but their clothes and armor is like the PSII characters). etc. etc.
but noooo just just had to go doofy psychodelic dungeon hack PSO style. yeah PSO 1 and 2 were fun but I would hardly call it Phantasy Star compared to an online or offline morrowind-style RPG using everything PSII. using Andrew's/ill-intent art style.
or the artstyle on Malakai's avatar. (where is that Rolf pic from? is there that from a comic or fanart I never seen before?)
cept its 3-D, real-time combat, party compatible, planet travel, exploration, multiple classes (probably based on PSII's main characters occupations. etc.)
to me (if ddone properly), THAT would be the true and ultimate online/expanded Phantasy Star RPG.

oh Benoit is a major PSO fan, huh? Well I'm not saying PSO is horrible, it actually succeeded on many levels.
just stating my opinion on a far superior online PS idea.

Saner, you think too much. Let me relieve you of your cervellumitis.
*Takes out his cougars and replaces the gray matter in Saner's head with a more dense and practical material.*
