Making PSIII more easy: usable items

I, myself, haven't never even tried to use weapons or armors in battle. I somehow assumed that PSIII didn't have that feature. :|
Anyway. Some items can cast GiRes. What the power is, that I do not know. But if the power level is related to character level, then those GiRes items might be very useful items, making PSIII prehaps too easy.
Anyone know how these items work?

GiRes in PSIII heals your entire party about 60HP each.

...could they possibly make this game any easier?

Depending on tech level.
I'm just wondering on what level the items do work? Does it change when character carrying it levels..?

The items cast a Technique of a fixed level, but what level each item casts the Technique at doesn't seem to have been formally documented.

In instances like these, I've seen people pick apart the games coding to find answers to questions like these.

For instance, one guy picked apart Riviera: The Promised Land (GBA) and found some text of Lina (the small, yellow one) claiming to be a year older than Fia (the green one who looks and acts like she outta be older than Lina. This text, as far as I know, is not accessible thru the game. However, with a nigh, unlimited amount of choices to make thru the game, it'd be difficult to know for sure... Unless you really REALLY like this game.

Still... I don't know if anyone here can (and even then, WILL) do something like that. I suppose at this point it isn't really important. Besides, a bit of in-game testing of these items might be easier than picking apart it's code.

That is... if you really want to know...

If you use Aridia, you can probably get to know the exact values. From reading Ragn_Charran's solo hero walkthrough, I got the following:

Force Emel - level 5 Res
Force Helm - level 5 Res
Force Shield - level 10 Res
Steel Knife - level 5? or 10? Shu
Planar Claw - level 5? or 10? Shu
Royal Bow - level 10? Fanbi

As those levels are quite low, I guess that GiRes items execute/cast level 10 GiRes at maxium.

BTW. Ben, You seem to have used Aridia. I guess map editing is impossible with it? Only statistical editing?
