Im a newbie so sorry for the undetailed or unclear message.

Ive always wondered this from the first time I knew about Nei and Neifirsts connection and how Neifirst and Nei and two parts of one whole and that killing one of them also means the demise of the other, however... when Neifirst kills Nei, she is still alive and well but when Nei kills Neifirst, she dies too. Rolf and the party then have to vanquish her.

Whats up with that?

I think Neifirst did hold on for a few minutes to make sure no one would leave the Climatrol alive - and would inexorably die afterwards. Nei did survive a little after Neifirst was defeated as well, only to say goodbye.

I think it only went one way. Neifirst was the original, with Nei being the part that split off. Neifirst could survive on her own, whereas Nei couldn't.

I was thinking the same thing but it wouldnt make logical sense to why Nei needs Neifirst to live as she has become her own self but Neifirst doesnt need Nei to live. It would be like their magically connected. Oh well you know how fantasy games are.
