Change main character of PS game

If you would change the main character of a Phantasy Star game, who would you choose and why?

To launch this, I would choose:
Phantasy Star IV: change Chaz to Rune, because have a more indepth storyline about Rune would be very interesting, would you think?! just think about how much he could lead the story as I believe he is one of the strongest characters of the game.

I have Rune leading my party every time I play PSIV. ;)
In my opinion Rune and Chaz, both, are the main characters of the game.

I'd like to see the story from Demi's point of view.

Launching the quest with the idea to change nurvus back to normal and geting stopped by Zio.

It'd be rather short of a story and for that reason, I'd also like to see the story from Wren's point of view : him getting stuck on Zelan receiving weird signals from Kuran and trying to see the situation from the sky.

I'd say Nei, but she dies too early... although it would be interesting to see her fighting through some underworld type thing to help Rolf, sort of like Final Fantasy 2's "Dawn of Souls" sidequest.

Same. Rune is the most knowledgeable character in PSIV. Since he has inherited Lutz' memories, Rune has more knowledge about Algo then any other character in the game. He also has the best attack techs, skills and magic defence/resistance.

As for the other Phantasy Star games, I like the current characters which have been chosen as the main characters. They fit in those roles better than the other characters would have in my opinion.

ehhh....Rune's too powerful, he knows too much. He doesn't make for a compelling lead. Not that it wouldn't be cool to see what he'd been up to prior. PSIV is all about learning truths, and who better to have things explained to than a dumb kid like Chaz?

But you know who might be fun to be the hero in PSIV? Gryz. Yes, he leaves after Zio, but a side story would be pretty cool. A tragic murder, a quest consumed by vengeance. Sounds sorta like PS1 but with a Motavian!
