Is there a way I can get a copy? :)
Sheesh I hate when the most interesting parts of the story happen off-camera, but I like the evil plot better the more I hear about it.

Before I say anything, I don't think anyone pointed out the new art for Tyler... if I missed that, then sorry for reposting:
http://segadirect.jp/Catalog/CustomPages/CustomDetail2.aspx?SKU=0101005-00855&File=segaages17_ps2.htm&PT=GDS&ST=FC
Anywho, I think the art looks pretty good... although their hair looks just a bit plastic-y. It just looks like it's stuck to their skull or something. But that's just me being nitpicky and art-majorish. %)

Hm. Nice new screen-shots. I'm not quite sure what to think of Tyler, but I'm quite satisfied with Amy. She looks accurate and modest.

Anywho, I think the art looks pretty good... although their hair looks just a bit plastic-y. It just looks like it's stuck to their skull or something. Perhaps this is the artist's take on realism, versus the large and wild hair that anime often has (though, the original art was not particularily bad for this).

With this I'm not saying I dislike previous Tyler, but everything had its moment, I like the new looks. :)
I think the new design of Tyler is very appropriate. :)

I'm not gonna state my opinion on the designs. BUT I will say that a good chunk of the reason there are complaints is that the basic design pose pics of them just standing there look like they were drawn by a 12 year old. Compared to the cover and screen shots, the artist didn't really try on those base pics. What worries me more, is that the game graphics for the effects and fights look identical to the PS1 remake. (same engine, perhaps?) And, after finishing that one, I can honestly say that the PS1 remake felt like I was playing a better graphics version of RPG maker. Very poorly done. (and yes, I'm aware it was only a CD game)

well um using the PS1 remake engine saves time and money.
putting too much funds on remakes (that hardly anyone would buy compared to new releases in the market) would hurt their profits even more.
plus it looks very beautiful and great. ^_^
now hopefully they can do a great job with the music too.

But that's exactly the problem, Saner. They would be able to do great things with a good budget, instead of the small one they have now.
Nice music? Don't expect anything more than low-quality remixes... Just like the first game.

Don't get me if I'm wrong..
But the PS IV Battle engine is the exact same as the PS II, with some tweaks.
How is using the same engine on the PS1 remake, on the PS 2 remake bad?
If you look at the original 4.. 2 and 4 have the same engine..
PS 1 and 3 might as well. Limited animations, no portraits for chars.
