i agree with benoit, life is good on Motavia. especially compared to earth, which is the most hellish prison planet i've ever been on, NO EXCEPTIONS. i even prefer ragol!
Motavia:
a stat system with few bugs
dungeons
easy to find work as a player character
cheap, legal weapons
a chance to do important stuff and learn about the mysteries of the Universe
complete freedom of movement
*most important* BACKGROUND MUSIC!
talking cats
Earth:
a few disorderly, corrupt examination boards
the nearest thing to a dungeon is the Arts tower
the only character class i'm eligible for is student
scalpels, and youre not allowed to kill humans with them
a chance to go on anti war protests
complete institutionalisation from the moment you're born
you have to sing the music yourself except the shop music, which is crap
incessantly talking people
as for zio, i think he's cool. tall, pretty, goth, master tech-user who uses words like 'annihilation'. kinda like a black imac. the petty struggles between characters and level bosses concern me not. after all, you need both to make a phantasy star. they are an intricate balance between creation and deletion. they both live and die for their beloved quartet.
