Fighting PS1 Dark Force in PS4

I have noticed this in PSIII after quick saving and loading the save states a few times. There was always an encounter after a given number of steps each time.

You can encounter them on a fairly regular basis in The Edge on the floor that looks like there's fire in the background (2 floors before PD). I've also fought them in the next floor up, just a vertical strip the floor before PD. And no, no tile has to be flashing or anything. And the encounters really aren't that rare to my experience. I've even fought them in back-to-back fights many times, and 3 out of 4.

Well, I finally found, and fought, a Prophallus Saturday night. I encountered it in the vertical dungeon section just prior to the final area that leads to Profound Darkness, after walking up and down dozens of times and fighting piles of normal foes. Thanks to everyone for their input! Now, at long last, I've seen, and done, everything that PS4 has to offer.

Wrong. Unless you get ahold of the original japanese version, which has a new type of enemy in it... some sorta large-breasted slimegirl thing... then you have yet to to see all it has to offer. If you get my meaning. Winkwink.

Are you talking about the one in the satellite, or the tower, or the temple where you pick up Seth? For me, I prepared for it. Used dimate/trimates when needed to heal. Rely on Forren's barrier, Rika's Deban, etc. Gave it all I've got. Also relies on a few macros. (blizzard, fire storm, grand cross.)
