Personally I really don't like the '3d' dungeons of the first game; I despise that kind of pseudo-3d first person tile-based 90-degree-turns dungeon crawling... While PS made it more bearable with actual animations instead of just kinda 'chunking' along tile by tile and confusing the hell out of you when you turned (the turning animations in PS made this MUCH more bearable), I still think that kind of dungeon is just... incredibly boring, repetative, and just not much fun at all.
Of course I realize that's just my opinion, and there are many fans of that system... but personally I'm rather glad they stuck to overhead dungeons for the rest of the series.
Oh, and, I know it'd be extremely tedious to do, but an option to switch between first-person and overhead would be very cool. (tedious because they'd need two maps for each map... or... maybe they wouldn't, actually, if the '3d' system is actually tile-based, which I think it technically is)
And even though I haven't beaten psII yet, from what I've seen so far I think the dungeons could be less monotonous and maze-like too... But then again I know there's many people who enjoy the mazey aspect. :p
