The Hugh solo run for Generation 2 was the second solo run I ever did after a Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon one. But that run has some issue with needing healers because of the way dodging worked especially above Hard 1 so that run was my first actual solo run where everybody was sent to the bench or dead, even before Hugh, Nei was by herself since she can killed off easily once he arrived.
I had already did three characters before the Genesis Hugh run and while this is the third of the three, I decided to work on this journal first as it’s the shortest of the three but I needed a clear game save from Gen 1 to do so and I didn’t have it when I did my Hugh run, I did the Rudo solo to get this data.
I used the save Nei github to keep her past the first boss.

With a Rolf’s favourite house kitten now a cat, it’s easy to set up by buying her another Steel Claw and selling all of Rolf’s gears and let him get pounced to death.
With how fast she levels up, she got up REAL fast by herself and I made some elemental claws with the elemental station to do 50% more damage when I can exploit elements. I found this on my first solo run around Uzo island but I will explain that in more depth once I do my Hugh solo run guide for this remake.
Something interesting to note is how her skill bar will always fill even when using techniques and items which I do use to charge it earlier when using items later on.
Another thing is Rolf is now required to enter the tower in Paseo which will be pose some issue for him later on.
Rudo was picked up and I do want him to be a bodyguard just a bit later but first Nei has to explore the factory alone. Even if I didn’t intend for that, you HAVE to hire him sooner or later or the plot won’t continue, this is true for all six benchwarmers in fact.
It’s not too hard with the wind claws against the flying enemies and water for frogs and the floating orbs but alas eventually I had to leave and revive Rolf, I bought two shields to give bulk and hired Rudo to block him, running away from everything.
When I got the key and letter, I allow Rolf to die on the first battle and didn’t heal Rudo who eventually died too, I left him in the house dead for now once I finished the factory.

Nido Tower
This is actually pretty challenging for Nei with her now outdated gears alone particularly to the stronger flying enemies so she retreated sometimes, but she managed to pick up Teim on her own with a special little dialogue where she mentions she will inform Rolf about this later.
It’s not too hard to take Rolf to the bridge with the shields.

Amy is hired to sit in the house and maybe make something later via this remake’s exclusive item crafting system.
It’s fairly erratic because of that dungeon’s hodgepodge of enemy tiers thankfully Nei is so high levelled she is tanky enough to survive and her new claws with elements are enough to help her as she read the computer and get the disc.
