CONTAINS SPOILERS OF BREATH OF THE WILD!!!

You probably know what an enhanced port of a game is. It’s a port that contains more content than the original. Some of the earliest known examples are ports of games released on the Gameboy Colour and Advanced, like Link’s Awakening Deluxe and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.

This got me thinking, what if Sega did something like this PSIV? It’s a great game, but this would’ve been a cool idea. I have some ideas inspired from the DLC of Breath of Wild, which is extra content that doesn’t mess with the main storyline too much.

An idea I have is based of the Monk Maz Koshia fight from the DLC of BOTW. When Chaz takes the Elsydeon, the cut-scene will play out, but Alis will challenge Chaz to a fight, and he will have to fight her spirit, and will be awarded with the Elsydeon afterwards.

An extra Hunter’s Guild mission would be cool too, as the list would allow for one more space before it clashes into the text box. The towns of Tonoe and Nalya have no guild missions related to them, along with Molcum, for obvious reasons. I can’t think of anything right now, but an extra Hunter’s Guild mission would be cool.

One other thing that would be cool would if there maybe a few extra enemies, like adding the Acacia and Shadow Mirage back.

Of course, an enhanced port of PSIV is extremely unlikely to ever happen, but having ideas can be fun.

SEGA did give the original PS a really nice treatment on Switch, but they didn't add any content or update the translation. SEGA doesn't seem to really care about their old RPGs.

I just checked the boards to find a font (I'm active on the PS Cave discord), so as I just posted, my PSIV retranslation/relocalization is probably the closest anyone is going to get. It's at [url]PSIV.GamesDoneLegit.com[/url] if you ever want to check out the descriptions. I restored lost content, edited the script for quality, and added a lot of official lore and story details that explain the world and connect the characters a bit better. I fixed all the mistranslated references to the older games, as well.

I'm doing a Let's Play Director's Commentary soon, so hopefully that will help people get a quick look and see if it's something they want to try. I get steady engagement on RHDN with it but not much here yet, haha.

I'm on the PS Cave discord about everyday in case you ever have any questions about it, or want a version with the proper nouns you prefer.
