PS III thing I just noticed

I have played the game for YEARS, maybe 15 or so and just noticed something.

Zan hits a row of enemies and the group. Slicers hit the same row of enemies.

Why they does Lune only hit one character? He should have his slicer and therefore should hit all characters right?

I don't know this since I've played PSIII trough only once.
If it's a bug it's a nasty one.
