Palman genetics and Zio

By the AW 2200's, the humans who could use magic were restricted to the residents of the Esper Mansion.<br>Incidentally, the ability is a dominant genetic trait, and a person of mixed race with the blood of a human who cannot use magic [and the blood of a human who can] can learn the ability through training. <p>Now my question is.. Could ZIo have been the child of a Esper+Palman? Magic can only be used by someone of mixed blood, or pure blood..<p>Zio learned magic.. Could he have been originally a Esper Child?<br>

Interesting. Judging from the description there, it seems like the only reasonable explanation. I always assumed the Dark Force, who made Zio "invincible", also had lended him powers, such as the Black Energy Wave. Surely no conventional magics can do that.<br>However, it's not to say that Zio had no prior aptitude for magic or techniques. Indeed, this may be what led Zio to be chosen by DF in the first place... great magical aptitude that could be increased or changed by DF. After all, it's easier to increase someone's skill if they possess natural abilities than it is to create abilities in a person that didn't have them in the first place. <p>Certainly plausible, Khyron, especially since so little is known about Zio.

Zio was probably like Rulakir, possessed by Dark Force and granted magic. <p>

I think his powers came from his association with Dark Force. Surely, DF wouldn´t choose him for nothing, so he probably had the aptitude to execute the spells DF needed. But you see how he is easily defeated when Dark Force leaves him in the end of the battle against Chaz and Co..
