I thought I'd make a mention that I consulted the local GameStop big book o' release dates and it states November 10th as the time for its premiere (in US at least). Though will it come out on time or be delayed into the Christmas buying season I wonder?

I know... the agonizing pain. I made my preorder for PS0 when the release date was in May... and then saw it moved to October... then again to November...

I had a good cry. I'm over it.

I want this game very much, but I'm not sure that I can justify the $39.99 pricetag. I guess I'll just have to wait for some reviews.

That is much earlier than I thought. Good to hear :)

What's wrong with the $40 price tag? It's not any different from other DS games. And it's a brand new game!

Normally I wouldn't agree with that kind of price since I come from a long bloodline of extraordinarily stingy parsimonious people, but Benoit is right.

I tried the Japanese version to see how it plays and I gotta say, for a DS game it's pretty darn good.

What I loved the most is that they totally excluded the touchscreen from gameplay and left it for all it's good at; doodling.

I loved the new menu system a lot, as well as the added dodge button. It adds a new element to the otherwise kinda samey battles.

The multiplayer works fine, but they really should add a visual keyboard in addition to the doodling. Hand writing sentences word for word on that little screen gave me cramps.

Take this from someone who otherwise loathes the stupid little dual-screen nightmare, it's worth the money.

And hey, It's a new Phantasy Star! That's as good a reason as any!

You can also wait for the price to go down if you really don't want to pay 40 bucks for it. :)

you paid $50 for pso and psu so whats wrong with buying a game that's $10 less?

I don't have wireless at home so I won't be playing online that much. $40 isn't really that much but it would be like paying full price for Left 4 Dead only to play the single player campaign.

It is a new Phantasy Star game though.

You can buy a USB dongle that creates a wireless access point for your DS. There may even be an accessory that allows you to use an Ethernet wire directly, but don't quote me on that.
