Is this game still all hacked and busted?

I started at launch and was quickly disgusted by how hacked it went in <week....
is it fixed, or is it still a hacked boss run fest ...

Yeah, I remember those days. The game is no longer a hacked boss-run fest. It has become more of the PSO "hunt for rares" style of game.

hm. Then it is tempting to start playing again.
I was real put of by having 9999999999999999999999999 Meseta handed to me and then essentially being sent on a run-the-same-boss all day fest for 9$/month....
anyone have any videos of current-ish gameplay?

"haxeta" has been fixed for at least a year now. With the release of the expansion there is a lot more stuff to do, and better mission points rewards.
Currently the event Shred the Darkness is running, with increased drop rates, a GBR, and Megispheres to trade for great weapons! It only lasts one more week, so hurry!

There was always a pocket of run the same boss over again, but if ya are one of the lucky few to do other runs with people that is better.

I personally think the best part about online are the Guardian counter quests. They remind me of challenge mode. There is also a Versus option at the Guardians counter. Although I haven't tried it, I'm curious if it is some sort of PVP.
Anyway...if you still have the disc and can find AoI for cheap online somewhere, I advise returning for a month. There are a lot of new missions, new areas, new bosses, and new weapon types (including PSO recreations for all of the above).
