This tweak isn't linked somehow with freezes, is it?

Whew! I'm SO glad we did a public beta. This forum is awesome! Thank you for all the hard work and a huge round of applause for Tryphon and Blaw. I was Internet-less for a while, but I'm back for now. While we wait for bug reports for the latest test, I'll start working on fixing the typos in the next couple of weeks. I hope everybody enjoyed the beta despite the battle results screen crash. Will check back in later this week! Thanks again

No it isn't. It's intented to make the battles easier and so to test more easily the possible crashes after battle. The same for the fact the ennemies quite always drop an item.

The only crash these tweaks could add is if you get an item and have no room for it (it's possible I've bypassed the test), but it won't occur on the untweaked version.

4 days and no reports ?

Must I understand that there's no more crashes anywhere ?

I found a couple of minor text bugs/oversights. I know you guys are working to try to fix the big drop rate/crash bug right now so probably won't have the time to fix these immediately but here they are anyway.

Firstly, I found this little guy floating around the Dezoris overworld:

I assume that name isn't intentional but my apologies if it is. I want to say this is "VANLEADR", the unused monster from the original game, but it's been a long time since I looked over Phantasy Star 2 related stuff.

Secondly, a real simple one. Storm Gear currently says in its description that it casts Zan when it actually casts Gizan like in the original.

The VAN LEADER bug has been submitted and fixed (maybe aleady in the debug version I posted some posts ago, in any case it'll be in the final version).

Thanks for the Storm Gear typo, Kyence and Hiei- are updating the script for the final version.

What interests me the most for now is if the debug version I released crashes on a real PS2. If not, I think it'll be time to disable the tweaks, insert the updated script and release the final version :)

It seems strange but... I didn't encounter that crash.
I've got as many Dimate as can (till Shop's man says - You cannot carry any more item lol ) and than try to fight only EYESORE, which drops item 100%.
Result:

Game still continie, but no item. Looks like there is in-game check for no drop if itemlist is full...

I'm sorry but I can't see your pics.

That said, it's likely a normal behaviour.

And of course I already thanked you guys but.... thanks so much tryphon, blaw and everybody else who made this possible! I looked at the pics above too, its pretty much showing his battle and after battle with no item dropped.

Just take the "pt." from the beginning of each link, it'll then work.

Just out of curiosity is anyone considering doing a hacked version of the game like psiv hell mode or anything? Obviously in the future because you all deserve some much needed breaks after all this =]. I've just always been disappointed with character balance in the game even back in the original ps2. For example Amia's strongest offensive technique being zan and keinz strongest weapon being napalm shot. I like amia and always thought she should at least on psiv alys's and kyra's level. Plus the fight for your life in psiv hell mode was just insane but fun! I'm currently going to school for computer programming hoping to at least get some basic knowledge and be able to expand on it on my own so maybe in a year or so I can help out on some future projects.

Finally managed to start the beta, and I'm super impressed with what you guys have done so far! I'm still grinding out to get Eusis a Headgear, but it's just really well-polished.

Edit - I would like to report something though... the Headgear icon has a weird little bunch of pixels at the bottom of it. I enlarged it to show it off here.
