is it me or is this forum dead i mean ive changed in the past few months ive been trying to get job and what not but why does this place seem so dead now

A simple simple reason..

People don't care. They'll make an excuse that there isn't any topics they want to post in and when they are, they'll stick to their explanation and never post.

The community is doomed really.

You'd think that there is FINALLY An official PS message board that exists that the members of the community would be happy about it. But they are not.

LOL PS forums die. Simple story. PSDB had the same problem. It was dying as well.

I'm seeing less and less reason to even invest time in the forum.

PSDB always had activity. If it wasn't in the on-topic forum, it was in the off-topic forum. The problem this message board (not forum) has is that it's not as well known as the PSDB, which had quite the cult status due to its link to The PS Pages.

There have been a decent amount of posts since you last posted. Didn't you see?

Dead? Not really...just not much activity. I post whenever I see reason to, mostly.

PSO is pretty much dead. That is part of the problem as well. And well, I can't say many of us here are playing PSU uncontrolably.

So what if PSO is dead? You could call the original Phantasy Star series dead as well, yet we still talk about it.

The PSDB died because it didn't work properly when max moved his site to a new server. He just never got around to fixing it. He is a busy man.

Yeah, right. He removed the place-holder page and the link to the discussion board. He doesn't plan on getting it back up at all.

In regards to the PSDB, it was a great community "back in the days", contributing good discussions for the fans. However if I recall, in the last months/year of its uptime, the traffic was very low with only very few posts daily.

I guess its simple, the classic PS games that this site (as PS pages and other sites) focus on are getting ages and most of the fans that once played the games are getting older. We had the 20th anniv recently remember... A lot of fans either lose interest of discussing these series online or simply life takes over the spare time they had when they where younger. I believe that this is the main issue of why the community is not as strong as it used to be.

But remember, we are still here and new fans will join (with our contribution). Lets make the best of it

I was merely adding to the lack of conversations in PS topics. This place had many new topics, in the area of PS and PSO, to talk about back in the day.

I can only speek for my self, but I have college, friends and family, and PSU to tend to most of the time. I cannot always come up with a new topic. But if there is a topic I want to put something in, I will.

In summary, most members got lives, Benoit and I don't.

i think missagh is right i mean alot of us are geting older with these games not like they should die out. i still play pso ep 1 and 2 and well to alot of gamers that game is dead but to me it is still a awsome game.

oh yeah and benoit ren yeah i know there is always new post when i come here just not so many. and i apoligize for not hanging here as much as i used to but i started playing wow and got hooked until my acc got ip banned for i hope just a while.
