Welcome page animation now viewable to everyone
Posted: Mon Dec 24, 2007 9:06 pmThe old welcome page used ancient JavaScript that only prehistoric and broken (IE) browsers could process. Now, at long last, everyone can enjoy the animation with the web browser of his/her choice!
I didn't animate the bars yet, though. And I don't think I'm going to animate the language selection sliding up from the bottom. I'm not sure how to get that to work without assuming a certain resolution to work with, so it wouldn't be resolution-agnostic. Furthermore, what if one didn't want to watch the animation? He would have to hunt for the buttons or wait until the animation was done.
That being said, enjoy!
