I just worked my ex-custom title into my profile...

Thanks to OnnaWren, we know that if we want to keep our custom title, we should not hit the Submit button in the User Cp. Doing that will save your User Cp, but since custom titles are off, it won't save your custom title, and you will be back to the old ones.
