Simulations in a computer of two black holes colliding...

Postby Wing-0 » Thu Mar 04, 2010 12:50 am

Yes, you read that right.

Simulations in a computer of two black holes colliding have been done... But what amuses me is the choice of "computer" and the reasons behind said choice...

Please read if you feel even a bit of interest in astronomy (me? I'm a friggin' astronomy fanboy!!).

That is pretty interesting... Did you know scientist are trying to solidify a theory that the Bermuda Triangle is a mini black hole in the deep portions of the water, and that's why magnets are so out of whack there? I personally don't believe that's at all possible, but hey, 20 years ago, thinking our Milky Ways center was a small massive black hole wasn't possible at all either... I can't wait to see what's new in another 20 years... Maybe PS3 will tell us?

Edge's first post wasn't childish. He's talking about Bermuda Triangle research, and a recent discovery that each galaxy in the universe revolves around a black hole.

I agree the second one was childish, but hear me out Mod...

In my eyes, the way I see it, he was saying that to TRY to make me second guess myself, or to make me appear stupid, since he's SUCH an fanboy of outer space and black holes... He wanted me to reread what I had wrote and begin to doubt myself... However, I AM NOT the right person to try reverse psychology on... I am WAY too opinionated and educated to be tricked into such nonsense... In my eyes, his response was starting a dispute, so I took the lower road and jumped right in.

Perhaps I was wrong to see it that way, but from MY experiences, that was EXACTLY what his intentions were, because he DOES know outer space, and IS educated on what I was talking about... If he HONESTLY didn't know what I was talking about, then he's false advertising his interests in space...

That's just how I saw it, so I addressed it in that manner... I'm honestly not a trouble maker, I'm just me... I don't tolerate any nonsense, and on the other posts, I did keep my mouth shut until I finally got fed up with the whole thing being drug out from absolutely nothing, and I started there already agitated by the whole mess, and started on the wrong foot...

I guess I'm just an annoying person who doesn't take ANY shit from ANY one. That's just me... Usually people love me or hate me with no in between. I understand that. I guess if I get too out of hand, I'll simply get banned, and that'll be that... I'm starting to already second guess this board anyway, so it won't be the end of the world or anything, by any means.

i watched a space program that mentione dthat the center star of each galaxy is a black hole. i found it very intruiging.

God yes... What's even more interesting is that each galaxy moves, and is actually breaking apart and is expanding... If it continues the universe will become a VERY lonely place.

HOWEVER, because each galaxy is moving, our galaxy is actually going to collide to the next galaxy closest to us... This is interesting because an entire galaxy ORBITS a black hole, and in order for the entire thing to move, that means MASSIVE black holes are a lot less stationary than we originally thought that they were...

The thing is, we always knew they moved (the famous old question, what if a black hole approached Earth), but we didn't know it was to such an extent! Kind of like how Earth is always moving, our GALAXY is always moving as well... It is BEYOND interesting, and opens a lot of new theories for outer space.

What!?

Look, about the thing with galaxies and stuff, with ours, and most likely ALL of them having a supermassive black hole in their middle, yes, I knew of that thing... The Bermuda Triangle, no, I honestly did not, I'm not a know it all...

But trying to use reverse psychology in you to try to make you second guess yourself!? Holy crap! That's gotta be incredibly well crafted on my part, and incredibly clever of you for noticing... Why?

Because I knew nothing of it!

The only reason I posted that thing is because:

1.-I love astronomy and did not know about that investigation. I did know of a project of sending a sensor out to see if they could find that elusive gravitational wave.

2.-Because I find it amusing and nice that the PS3, which is something usually marketed as a game console can be used for so much more than just that.

So those were my reasons for that post... You, getting all bent out of shape into thinking that... Do you think I dedicate my free time to thinking about you? Sorry, no.

And the second part, because I can't post long messages... YES! I'M ON MY PS3!! IT HAS THIS USE TOO!

Edge, I know jack shit of what's going on HERE in all honesty.

I dunno if you think I've got some kind of hatred towards you or something, but if you SOMEHOW got that idea in your head... The answer is a resounding

NO!!

Dude, if you wanna stay in the board, by all means stay. It's more than obvious we don't agree... But you gotta stop with that paranoia. Some people here know me here and know I can be annoying, childish, ridiculous and with a mind circling the SAME THINGS FEW CARE ABOUT. But trying to set a trap for you to spring and look like an idiot!?

Uh... Dude... no... I've got better things to do than concoct complicated plans to insult or make someone feel bad. My life is actually a bit complicated and with my relatively limited mental capacities (yet better than others, I must toot my own horn), I just can't spare any in pissing people off for no reason.

Don't waste your time like that, will you?

And the final part...

Regarding you "springing that trap" on purpose... Why? Not only it was pointless, since my intentions were pretty much out there and there was zero trap... Just why? Because you take no abuse from anyone? If you still think I'm trying to pull that on you, then that proves to me you don't know me nor took the time to do it.

In this board, I can sum up a few things of myself that I have shared and people know I am:

I enjoy childish jokes
I like Phantasy Star
I like my PS3
I like science
I have a dirty sense of humor
I am usually friendly (which points to my epic failure at that homophobia thread)
What you see is pretty much what you get
I can bore people with LONG ASS RANTS, which are usually left undisturbed due to "TLDR"
I'm long winded, babbling incessantly

But what I'm not, is that, which you accuse me of.

And we're gonna crash with the Andromeda galaxy... If my memory serves me right...

This is sad... I can feel a single tear drop slip down my face... We're not going to be friends are we? :(

Cause i know we can't be friends if we can't be lovers..

Each of those posts, had 12-16 minute increments between them... Did you miss me that much... HEY, I'm back, you can stop patrolling your computer now, and only stopping every 30 minutes or so to run and take a piss real quick. Please, stop, pause, collect yourself, take a moment or two to wash your hands... I know you forgot to do so in your haste to make it back to your screen to see if I've returned to respond to your posts... BUT JUST FOR YOU, just for you, buddy, I won't quit this message board, cause I realize this is a life or death thing for you.

I'll stay here, I'll keep you company, and I'll continue to reply to your senseless posts to give you the attention you so direly need. I know your heart skipped a beat or two, when you frantically scanned the posts, Just to embark upon my sexy avatar, clad in black and purple, with Edge written in bold white letters. The thought that I'd never return and you'd never see my name again, it... it... it terrified you, yes, I know. Grab a Kleenex and compose yourself. I'm here, no need to cry anymore. Go to bed, get some rest... You might have another one of those tough days ahead of you tomorrow.

I HATE, and I mean I HATE, to pull a homosexual topic back up... But are you?? I'm not... I'm engaged, I'm sorry... We could of made a nice couple, but I'm just too in love with Chinelle to join your obsessed triple post love you have for me...

I never had a nemesis though... Maybe we can share that together? LOOK, we DO have something special... Awww, this is sweet. I'ma go, I need to wipe this tear away.

EDIT: This is a damn right shame, too... I REALLY LOVE SPACE... This could of been an awesome topic had you just not gone and asked what the 'hell' I was talking about >_< Ugh!

This whole argument about off topic stuff makes me nostalgic, reminding me back when we degladiated each other to death over irrelevant stuff at the PSDB. I had more hair at the time, and was even a virgin till some point. Good times, good times.

Yeah... I think I need to tone it down a notch... I dunno why I'm such a dick... I guess I try to be funny, and while you all may not be amused, I crack myself up! I mean... Look at that post... If someone said that to me, I'd flip out... Like, I'd seriously want to hurt somebody... LOL!
