I just randomly happened upon the SCHTHACK servers myself, been playing them for the past few days and having a blast. I even went so far as to copy the folder files of their PSOBB version onto DVD and hand it out to my friends on their laptops. So far, I have hooked three of them, since I only have to copy off of the DVD to their computers.

So far, I have a RAcast at level 34 I believe, known as Revenant,
and a level 24 RAmarl known as Snipre. if ya see me, gimme a hollar 8)

Can Someone explain BlueBurst to me? It sounds like PSO with major upgrades for the PC. I get the feeling like I should be playing BB rather than PSO Ep.1/2

PSO Blue Burst is basically PSO Episode I & II for the PC with a team system, online-only.

Ah... I thought they might have new maps, quests, maybe more character designs... and definently better story explanation (did anyone ever get the feeling like you got screwed with the open ending?)

And I always see PSO ep. 1/2/4 listed... was thinking a whole extra 4 zones... I feel cheated...

These servers have the option for a single person mode, which acts just like offline mode. Playing offline while online, sounds akward, but its definitely very nice. Lotta stuff without pay-to-play.

Oh, right, forgot about that. It does have Episode IV, which has 3/4 new areas.

Still, I'd keep playing GameCube PSO. Episode IV isn't really worth it.

For me, xbox isn't much of an option, no tricky ways of getting onto the server for me outside of PC, which is just fine for me. EpIV has been rather interesting thusfar, I like the semi-easy experience at low levels, haven't gotten to enjoy it much at higher levels (Only got 2 level 30ish characters)

Okay... but since PSO BB no longer has online support from Sega, is the fan-server the only alternative?

And your avatar looks like that guy from Lunar: SSSC. Of course, it's been over 10 years since I played that. Hmm... I might have to add that one to the list when I get this EZFlash III player going.
