Golden Boy sucks!

I watched the first episode at my brother in laws place and we both concluded it was horrible and not something anyone under 18 should watch. Way to much sexual references, way to much fan service and the humor sucked too. Anyone else felt the same way too?

I liked it, MUCH. The anime version is actually much more lighthearted compared to the manga, and has an humor I like. The manga focus more in the analysis of sex, and some pages are more text than drawings! Sometimes it resembles more a psychology treaty than a manga, it goes deep into analyzing aspect of sex that most people avoid because of personal believes, or just "fear".<p>I agree with Hubbs, Golden Boy shouldn't be seen/read by people under 18 years, but mostly for the message, not fo the sexual contents, that are mild, well at leat compared with what I usually see on normal TV, just for comparison, Janet Jackson's exposed tit here in Italy would have caused a laugh, not a scandal like in the US.

I never liked it much.. If I want adult themes and such, I'll go watch some Satoshi Urushihara inspired anime or games.<p>or check out the massive work of CLAMP ^^

I practically could not find the humor for when the guy was in teh bathroom (possibly masturbating) and dreaming about being his bosses slave. And did he dream. His boss had a whip and dominatrix suit, he wore only a speedo and chained necklace. God it makes me shudder.

I've never seen this anime/manga, but I can relate to the "too much fan service" bit. I hate it when they go overboard with that...a little is alright, done in good taste of course, but otherwise it cheapens the quality of the production.

I've never seen/read it. But isn't there a lot of gay humor in it? That's really not my cup of tea :p

I haven't watched Urotsukidoji, but I have read a fair bit about it. It qualifies as Porn Horror. To be honest, the concept seemed very over the top, and very bizzarre.

Well Uru I wasn't so bad, but Uru II's Nazi Death Rape Machine was SO over-the-top it would have almost been laughable... if it weren't so very sick... XO

Do you even know that La Blue girl is Benoit? A live action movie is scary because of what they would have to use IRL to replicate certain scenes and ideas..<p>That is what is scary.. Fun noddle or equivalent used that way.. ewies..<p>That stuff is best animated

I've watched one episode of La Blue Girl once not so long ago to see what it was like. I didn't like it.<br>But live action would be pretty scary, yes. :~

Wait a sec, I wasn't bashing anime that has porn in it. First of all, I was only talking about Urotsukidoji (II), and second of all, I only said it was bizarre. And don't tell me that a "Nazi Death Rape Machine" isn't bizarre. Maybe you're reading into this too much. %)
