Hello!

I have been a big fan of this site. Occasionally I'll read a fanfic or two. I've lurked for quite some time and figured I should make the plunge and register here.

The first RPG I ever played was PS3, with PS2 soon after:PS2 is still my all-time favorite RPG.Heh,I have 2 copies of the Master System PS,and various incarnations of PS1-PS4 on the GBA, PC,and PS3. I've tried the newer PSU, PSP and PSO, but the old ones will always have a replayability that will never fade for me.

Currently, I am working on a translation for PS: Generation 1: years ago I bought it along with Generation 2; I have seen various attempts to translate it fail. While I am no programming mogul, I do know my way around a hex editor;incidentally, I've already learned a bit of Shift-JIS hex code since starting this project. If anybody is already actively working on this,I wouldn't mind collaborating.I just think it's high time fans got an opportunity to play this remake without having to learn the three alphabets :)

I'm currently translating the item lists, but my attempt to edit the textures/icons (why are the menu labels images???Argh!) have failed. I'll post some shots in the appropriate Board Area in the days to come:)

I am looking forward to good times here!

Hey there! I know nothing about programming and what-not, but I'm glad to see PSII getting some love! It's my favorite of the series, too. Hands-down the best story of the series. Anyway, welcome, and good luck with your project!

Hi Kyence and welcome to PS Cave. Regarding the translation, yes, there is currently a team of people working on translating it to portuguese lead by Orakio_Rob

This is by far the most ambitious attempt to translate it, they have already cracked the code for the encryption and the translation is fully going. Orakio_Rob said that he would contact me when the project is finished and I could see if I can translate it into English. If you are serious about translating the PSG games, contact orakio[AT]gazetadealgol.com.br and tell him that I sent you (like a mob :D).

Thanks for the warm welcome! I will definitely contact him. I've only been at it a couple of weeks, but I would like to contribute if others are further along.

Welcome to the board,Kyence. Do feel free to give your thoughts on the fanfics you read here- just look for the author's plug thread and let loose!
