Phantasy Star Cave Message Board

Normally I don't believe in introduction threads, but since there's a forum dedicated to them, I guess I'll raise my post count a few ticks here. <p>I'm a broadcasting student soon to begin my third year at Georgia Southern University. I've taken a couple of Japanese courses, but I'm nowhere near fluent (hey, at least I fulfilled my foreign language requirement). I first got into Phantasy Star in 1996 with PSIV. It and Skies of Arcadia are the only RPGs I've ever completed, although I'm working on PSI right now. I used to play a lot of first person shooters, but I mostly play 2D fighting games now. I also have a website (http://for-reals.net), but my girlfriend does most of the work. Right now I'm working on a PSIV review for it. I'll get motivated to add more content, eventually.

I have a basic understanding of it, but there's just so much vocabulary and kanji to try and remember. Still, it has its uses. Could you explain what a broadcasting student is? What are you learning?<br></blockquote>I'm working toward a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication Arts Broadcasting. So far my classes consist of mass communication theories and journalism, though I took a really interesting analytical film class over the summer term (basically we watched old movies and then wrote papers on them). My goal is to go into TV production, preferably documentaries, but I'm willing to do grunt work in news if it comes to that.<br>

<br>I've been told that I should go into radio or be a TV anchorman, but people mainly say that because I have such a deep voice. I'd rather be the little man behind the curtain that you're not supposed to pay attention to than the big green floating head with smoke and fire shooting out everywhere.
