I now have my own PC at my own room with 4x faster processor than the previous one. I still need to 'learn' how to type with this new keyboard but I'll soon figure it out... :p <br>I'll post pics soon. Flatscreen rules. #) #) #) #) #)

4x the speed, cool, thats like me when I jumped form a 600 MHz to a 2400 MHz :D.

Just to toss out a not-so-well known fact here, 2.4 Ghz does not equal 2400 Mhz.<br>1 Ghz is the equivalent of 1024 Mhz. It follows the same principle as other computer number formats.

Yeah but it's close enough. The 24MHz really makes no difference compared to the 1000MHz. And it isn't a not-so-well known fact, most people know computer have a base 2 system (2^1, 2^2, 2^3 ect.).

It adds up, though. With a 4 Ghz processor you would have close to 4100 Mhz instead of 4000 Mhz.

You're right Joel..<p>Look at all the 2.8 Ghz processor pc's with Quantispeed architecture that actually goes at 2.4 ghz.<p>Right there you have a misleading processor.<p>Processors never go as fast as they claim anymore.<p>1.67 Ghz ones always did 1.59 with the architecture..<p>

The reason for that is because you don't have your bios set up properly then. Edit your bios and you 1.7ghz will start to run at 1.7ghz.<p>Just using my cpu as an example.<br><p>[size=small][Edit by HuBBsDoctor on [TIME]1091930953[/TIME]][/size]

Nice PC. Close to what I'm planning to get.<p>Is your CPU 2.6 Ghz or is it just the 2600+ series? There's a difference.<p>You forgot to mention your RAM.

2600+ series. That means it equals 2600 MhZ although it is less.

The 1280x1024 is the maximum resolution supported by the monitor (max for any monitor I believe is 1600x1200). Silver is obviously colour, and 12ms is the pixel refresh rates, more specifically how long it takes for each pixel to get illuminated. Have fun with your new PC :D.<br>
