Unexplained problems with my GameCube. It won't read discs, any of them! I am puzzled and dissapointed as I may have to cancel my online account early. Please if you have any information, I would be gratefull to know.

o_O
You could try cleaning the lens gently with some soft tissue. (not a wet one!)

Have no clue. This is strange. When I get it working I leave it on for a long time so I can go play it. Is this a bad thing too? Geese, wish I could find the booklet....

Ok, I have a few questions...
Does your Gamecube sit in the rug? How long (typically) do you leave it on?
If you leave your GC on for long periods of time, it will wear out very fast, and sometimes overheat and short out. If you sit it on rug, then it is probably overheating. There is a certain kit that you have to order that will solve that problem, but just don't let it get too hot and you should be fine. Both of these things happend to a guy I know, so I'm just giving you the benefit of my experience. Use it however you want.

The Cure? It seems that if the GC is placed on its side, blocking the warm air out vent, that I can get it to work in under five minutes, as oposed to 15-30 minutes. Though I know that this is bad for the GC, it seems the only way for now. I am expecting it to kaput sometime. But I was planning on getting a new one.
