So, what music does everyone like ?

I myself am into rock and metal. My current favorite band is Tool, but
I also like A Perfect Circle. Very good music. My all time favorite band is Blue Oyster Cult. It will always have a special place in my heart.

I never got all into BOC beyond Don't Fear the Reaper and Godzilla, since at the time I first heard of them my friends would always go on and on about them and I was kinda sick of it. I should really give them another look these days.

Personally I've been falling into a particular metal trend. Lemme break down the path I've taken over the last three years:

Stratovarius -> Therion -> Kamelot -> Rhapsody of Fire -> Angra -> Talking Heads (not really sure how they got in here) -> Blind Guardian -> Opeth -> Symphony X -> Demons and Wizards -> Iced Earth.

I'd put Sonata Arctica up there but so far I've only heard Unia and it's...uh...very reminiscent of Linkin Park; catchy, but I wanna punch whoever wrote the lyrics.

Hmmmmm...

I'm not into contemporary mainstream. I prefer either classical music like Chopin, Bach or Tchaikovsky and movie/game/anime soundtracks. I enjoy old stuff like too, like Van Halen, David Bowie, Blondie, Simon & Garfunkel or the old Nightwish, Apocalyptica and a few others from the contemporary side... On the anime side, I love May'n, the vocalist for Sheryl Nome's songs in Macross Frontier... She puts a lot of emotion in her singing.

I've been listening to a lot of YMO lately...

Favorite band would have to either be The Killers or Queens of the Stone Age. I'm also a big Chris Cornell fan (except for his last solo album...gross): therefore I have his solo stuff, Audioslave and Soundgarden. I could create an endless list of music and I'm sure I've tried to create one around here before.

I'm a fan of Nightwish as well Wing-O. I enjoy their new stuff as much as the hold though.

I'm into anything that sounds good. I'd list some stuff, but honestly I like some of everything, and a ton of artist I may only like one song by. I guess if I had to pick one type I like the most, it'd be rap. I love the music behind most rap, and I produce beats/rap myself. My favorite "artist" right now are Akon, and T.I
