I just found out there's a Sonic Classic Collection for the DS coming out in March. It's going to have Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles. Pretty much the same set of games as 1997's Sonic Jam on the Saturn. I'm still gonna get it though. Plus it will be nice to see Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles make their debut on a handheld system. Wonder if the lock-on games for S&K will be unlockables like in the Sonic Mega Collection for the Gamecube. Maybe in the future, they'll also do a Phantasy Star Collection for the DS that will have not only PS1-3 like the GBA compilation, but also PSIV as well. :D

Err, a collection with all of those games already got released for the PSP years ago. So now they're going to release one for the DS? I'm not thrilled. The screen resolution is too low for these games. It'll likely be lazy emulation as well.

the third game and S&K weren't on the PSP collection, and besides, the DS is a much better handheld. :) That's why I try and buy the least amount of PSP games I can. :)

I heard the games will be built upon slightly, with video footage on the game.

From Wikipedia:

The collection will also include bonus video content and collectable images.[3] A 'save anywhere' function will be added to each game. Early screenshots show Sonic and Knuckles together in gameplay sequences where they have not been onscreen together in previous versions of the game.
