Mistake in coding?

I just sort of realized this while fighting them with Seth...

The Xe-A-Thoul trio has a counterattack called Thndrblast. It's Factor 7 (electric), right? Nope. Factor 2. Meanwhile, their physical attacks are Factor 7, while their palette swaps (D-Elm-Lars, Le-Faw-Gan, Gi-Le-Farg) all have a Factor 2 physical attack. I wonder if this was done unintentionally?

Quickly looking at the disassembly it seems that the element/factor of Thndrblast is in fact 02 rather then 07. I'd say it's a mistake.

If it wasn't for that mistake, Gryz solo would probably be impossible. Maybe. I'm gonna test it out with a level 99 Gryz. Giwat just tears him apart, and they love to use it.

As it is now, the best strategy is kind of laughable on its face, but it works: give Gryz the Plasma Field and a second shield, and have him use the Laco Rod 75-80 times for 20ish damage a piece, triggering their counter (which usually does 1 damage)

Wow, Gryz just got absolutely wrecked at level 99. He didn't even get to deal any damage at all.

Won the second time. I used War Cry the first time and paid dearly for it. This time, I just went straight to Sweeping. Had the battle gone on any longer than it did, Gryz would not have won.

And this is at level 99!

I'm not sure if it is a mistake in coding. Only the developers will ever know (though it would make sense since it being Thunderblast it would have the same factor as Tandle, but instead has the same factor as the Plasma weapons). This at least means giving anybody the Plasma-Field will make the fight trivial... providing you can hit them all at once to trigger the counterattack.

Every character in the game, whether ordinarily in your party at the time or not, can hit them all at once.

true, but it also depends on how you're going about it and if the triplets attack first with normal attacks and wipe out certain characters. at a high enough level (low to mid 30s) it won't be a problem.

Yeah, lower level characters might not be able to go first every time, but you can just use the Swift Helm for the Ner effect, which fixes that problem.
