...well now I feel like an idiot... I did these months ago and forgot all about them. The only upside was that the first mission's boss dumps out a decent chunk of exp.

i wouldn't say it was impossible for an rpg to be innovative... that would imply that all human creativity had reached its limit. someone will think of an original idea one day.

Too bad that Tylor is a Beast and thus, you know, doesn't look a damned thing like Tyler. Nor for that matter does the Landeel bear any resemblance to the one in PSIV. Nice try, though. (OK, not really a nice try, but I'm very anti-linking theory, with a passion usually reserved for abortion debates, but.)

Well, I guess I won't blame them if they have a reason to put her in PSU.
Does she have a role or an influence on anything or is it just a boss?

She does bear a little resemblance, they couldn't make her quite that way in 1989..
Anyways, Why get all pissed? She could just be there as FAN SERVICE.
I mean in the Xenosaga series it happens, TALES series most definitely.. The TALES series is basically "Let's show whoever we want in other games and pull their reason for being there out of our ass."
PSIV has a sweetcake shop, WHY? Fan Service!
Lots of other game series use cameos or like-cameos to pay tribute.
It happened in the PS games.. No reason to be upset.

noooo the cake shop is vitally important! it must be... its in ps1, 2, 4 and online! apart from dark force and trimate, nothing is in that many PS games!
i like there to be some references to the original games. it makes sure that people who are new to the series, and might have played only the online games and not the originals, will be interested in the old games. although making the final boss dark force IN EVERY FREAKING GAME is just too repetitive.

Actually.. In PS adventure and Gaiden, DF is not fought.
In PS 2.. You fight Mother Brain LAST.
Not every game..
Now if you want to get technical.. PSO is Dark Falz, PSU is Dark Falkus.. PS 2/3/4 is Dark Force..

Personnaly, I'd be interested in fighting her, just to see her reaction patterns and similarity with PSII
Do you know her role in PS AoI?
Then, to considering the relation between each PS, well, to me it would be Algo solar system even with PSIII since those ships are clearly said to be escaping ships from Parma.
Too bad PSO and PSU didn't made the link in a way or another to the serie (I mean a real scenaristic link like PSO DF if he were the one from PSIII or such.)
