Chapter 4 : It's getting colder...<p>The party appears at a cliff, behind them is the sea and in front of them are more rocks.<br>"Pretty steep..." Zone says sarcasticly. B@L mentions it would be wise to stay away from the edges. Butoden points at a forest in the distance.<br>"Look, maybe there's some creatures living there!"<br>"Yeah and maybe not!" Zone says, folding her arms.<br>"You are under Butoden's command, so better do as he says!" B@L says.<br>"Okay. If you say so..."<br>Butoden and B@L equip their shields. Zone reacts quickly, equiping her shield.<br>"Hey! I have the same shield as you have!" Zone says, pointing at Butoden's shield. Butoden nods silently and moves towards the forest.<p>"Isn't this exciting?!" Zone asks B@L. B@L smiles and doesn't reply.<br>"I Can't believe this girl. How can she be excited... She's probably not experienced...She has not seen many battles. But still Butoden signed her on for this team... Why would he sign on such a reckless HUcaseal... I know tons of Forces who would make better teammates... A Force would be better for our team as well.."<br>"B@L? Are you listening?" Zone asks. B@L didn't notice Zone was talking to him.<br>"What did you say?"<br>"Did you not hear at all? I asked what weapon you used!"<br>"Oh... a Justy. Justy 23ST..." B@L shows her his rifle. Zone tries to aim but she can't.<br>"What's the...problem!" Zone tries real hard to lift it.<br>"You can't equip it. It's a Rifle remember?"<br>"Yeah. I just wanted to.. test it you know?" Zone hands back over the gun. B@L slows down his pace, so Butoden won't hear him. Zone waits for B@L.<br>"What is it?"<br>"Come here..."<br>"What?" Zone walks up to B@L.<br>"I can see you are nervous. But you must try to hide it. We all don't know what to expect. But you're too excited."<br>"I am not!"<br>"Just keep still and try act a little more mature!"<br>"Oh I can be mature!" Zone says.<br>"Okay, so show me..." B@L runs up to Butoden, Zone quickly follows him. Butoden suddenly stops.<br>"What is it? Did you hear something?" B@L asks. Butoden holds up his hand.<br>"Time for a break..."<br>"But we just started!"<br>"We need all the reservers we have if we're gonna fight monsters, so just relaxe. I'll scout ahead."<br>Zone and B@L agree and they stay put. Butoden climbs off the cliffs and reaches the grassy plains.<p>Zone stretches her legs while B@L drinks some soda cans.<br>"What do you think we'll find in the forest?" Zone asks, she sits down next to B@L.<br>"I don't know. It doesn't look very bright there..."<br>"I know... It looks haunted. It gives me the creeps... Do you think we'll be allright?"<br>"Of course. We have a great team leader!"<br>"But what about me?"<br>"What do you mean?"<br>"I'm not sure if I'm able to... keep up with you guys..."<br>"You'll be fine. I'm sure of it..."<br>"I am not so sure..." Zone sighes, she stares at the mysterious forest in the distance.<br>"GUYS! Break time is over!" Butoden shouts. Zone and B@L get up. B@L notices the sky is darkening.<br>"Hmm... we might have some showers..."<br>Zone climbs down the cliffs and jumps off to land next to Butoden.<br>"What did you find?"<br>"Nothing much... Some huge rocks up ahead though. Huge rocks and treetrunks... Maybe they were taken by the wind..."<br>"By the wind?" B@L jumps down as well.<br>"Yeah. There's not much vegetation here. So the wind can be very strong here..."<br>"It's pretty quiet now..."<br>"Let's just go!" Zone says, she pushes Butoden and B@L a bit until they get going.

Good, you fixed what we mentioned about the always- mentioning-the-name-thing. <p>The only thing I want is a physical description of Zone, because I'm not sure how she looks (not to mention Butoden and B@L)

B@L is a Redria RAmar. He has brown armor and a helmet. (like the soldiers in HALO) Zone is a Skyly HUcaseal, she has black-grey-red armor and has a ponytail!

Zone looks nearly identical to my character then! Except Nei has that helmet face (you can't see any facial features with it). Zone is cool, but I didn't expect that an Android would act so...human. She acts nearly like a human teenager...so disorganized...kind of annoying to others...but don't get me wrong, I like her personality!<br>How, exactly, are you supposed to pronounce B@L? I've been pronouncing it b-at-l so it ends up sounding like battle. I'm not sure if this is right though.

You were right! :p And how about Ellone the RAcaseal, doesn't she also act like a human?<p>I'm not sure. RAcasts are seen as battle-instruments (in quests), HUcasts seen as evil (Kireek), I guess HUcaseals (dont appear in any quest I know) can be both deadly as a ninja while hiding their own emotions... Like Zone maybe?

I really injoyed it I hope that more of your fanfic comes soon. I agree with you Ellenor acts almost human so zone's emotions fit her.

I just thought that androids would seem more cold and calculated...but you're right about Elenor being human acting. I guess androids have more developed personalities in PSO.<p>But don't change Zone's personality. She's a very lovable character...and it's funny how Butoden is always acting like she's a liability. I hope you are careful in developing her character...but I'm sure it'll be good.

Chapter 5: Knowing your Enemy<p>"Well this is it..." Butoden and his team are standing in front of the forest.<br>"What's the plan?" B@L asks.<br>"Zone and I will walk in front, you cover our rears B@L."<br>"Okay."<br>And so they step into the dark forest, not knowing what to expect to see there.<p>"It seems so quiet. Maybe there is noone here. Maybe we were wrong." Zone looks around and sees nothing but plants and trees.<br>"It is time..." Butoden says, B@L and Zone are confused.<br>"Draw your weapons, something is coming..." Butoden takes out his Delsaber's Buster. His Shield begins to power up.<br>"Where? Where!?" Zone looks around hastily while equiping her Bloody Art. B@L looks at the trees, it's not the wind that causes the leaves to move...<br>"Up there!" Butoden says, B@L aims and shoots some kind of Lizard out of the tree! It falls down in some bushes behind Zone. Zone quickly turns and holds her Bloody Art in front of her face, ducking a little. Butoden runs past her and holds his Delsaber's Buster low, making an upward slash at the lizard in the bushes, the Lizard runs towards Zone and B@L.<br>"Here he comes..."<br>The Lizard jumps at Zone, Zone ducks and holds her Bloody Art up high, slicing the lizard's belly open, the Lizard dissapears as it lands on the floor.<br>"Nice move!" B@L says, lowering his JUSTY. Zone looks at the blood on the floor.<br>"It was not strong, it was very agile. We need to be quick to stop these things.." Butoden walks up to Zone and places his hand on her shoulder, "Are you okay? You seem a little... I dunno..."<br>"I'm fine! I just killed it see!?" Zone removes Butoden's hand from her shoulder. Butoden looks at B@L, who lifts his shoulders.<br>"Let's just keep moving..."<p>Somewhat later:<br>"Do you hear that? It comes from over there..." B@L points at some bushes. Butoden hears it too. It's some sort of buzzing... Zone walks over to the bushes.<br>"Be careful, it might be a trap!" Butoden says. Zone nods and carefully walks forward, looking at the large trees in front of her. She sees a trap.<br>"It is a trap! I can see one floating around here..." B@L runs up to Zone, she aims his rifle at the trap. B@L pulls the trigger and an explosion follows.<br>"Okay, area clear.." Zone releases the rifle and slowly walks forward, taking the lead. Butoden looks back.<br>"Who and why would they place traps here..."<br> They can hear the buzzing sound getting louder and louder with each step they take. Zone hacks some bushes in front of her to get a clear view. It's an enormous factory!<br>"What the hell..." Butoden looks over her shoulder.<br>"What is this? A powerplant?"<br>"Maybe... But why didn't the Principal told us about this?" B@L asks while leaning on his Justy.<br>"They probably wanted to keep this a secret..."<br>"No. They probably wanted us to find this. They never wanted us to use this device! They wanted us to investigate this factory!" Butoden runs down the hill and finds a door to his left. He opens it as Zone and B@L run down the hill as well.<br>"Boy, is he in a good mood!" Zone says.<br>"He's always angry when people lie to him... He'll cool off, eventually..." B@L holds the door open for Zone. They find Butoden in a dark room walking over to the switch. He turns on the light. Zone notices they're in a small office. There's paperwork and sketches all over the floor and on the tables, there's a trail of blood, leading to a closed door. Butoden investigates the blood.<br>"This is human blood..."<br>"Shi-..." B@L walks over to the closed door and looks trough the window. It's too dark to see anything. Zone looks at some of the documents on the floor, it seems to be information about various plants and lifeforms found on Ragol.<br>"This must be some kind of lab, look," Zone hands over the documents to Butoden. He reads them trough.<br>"Hmmm..." he says, he hands the papers over to B@L.<br>"What is it?" B@L asks. Butoden points at the papers, B@L starts to read it as well.<br>"Look at that part!" Zone points out a paragraph which is about lizards. B@L reads it trough.<br>"So these lizards live on blood? That makes them vampires..." B@L says.<br>"And when they drink blood, they grow larger and stronger..." Zone says. She gathers some more papers from the floor when a large crash can be heard from outside.<br>"...What's that?" B@L says, aiming his Justy at the entrance.<br>"Maybe it's one of those Lizards!" Zone says.<br>"Maybe it's a really big one!" B@L replies.<br>"Maybe we should go out and see..." Butoden takes out his Delsaber Buster, his shield powers up again. The team runs over to the door and wait. Zone takes out her Bloody Art.<br>"I'll go in first, Zone, you open the door!" Butoden says. Zone reaches for the doorknob...<p>--End of Chapter 5--<p> %) Well Im sorry for keeping everyone waiting, although Im sure everyone needs to read trough the other chapters to remember what was going on in my story again! :p
